Recommendations For Dog Boarding Hi Ottawa. I am planning a two week trip for the upcoming summer and will need to board my two pups while gone. They are both little ones - a Chihuahua and a Chihuahua-Italian Greyhound mix (they will be 1 and 4, respectively, by then).
I don't particularly trust online reviews so it makes much more sense to trust comments from you random people, right?? I will visit a few kennels before I decide, but it would be great to winnow them down first, so I would appreciate any feedback, particularly with people who have boarded small dogs, but big dog experience is welcome as well. Thanks!

Hi! I'm not sure it's ideal for small dogs but they for sure have areas for small dogs. I've boarded my German Shepherd Myla at http://www.princesskennels.ca/ many times and we've never had issues. What I really enjoy is the pictures. They update them very frequently so you get to see pics of your dog outside having fun. This is my poochy Myla: http://www.princesskennels.ca/gallery/pictures.php?dog=Myla/ Their enclosure has a doggy door to the outside so they can go out to do their business or just hang out outside if that's what they prefer.
Princess Kennels. They are amazing. Also they post pictures on their website on a daily basis so you can see your dog while you are away. They are about 40 minutes from here but your dog will be well taken of. $21. a day. http://www.princesskennels.ca/
Does anyone have any recommendations for a boarding kennel in either the South or East end of Ottawa? A friend of mine needs to board her Golden and Lab/Golden mix for a week in March. Thanks
Pat, I use Chico's Kennel on Champlain St. in Bourget. We don't leave the dogs often but have always been pleased with the care they received. I have recommended to many friends with large breed active dogs and have never heard anything but positive feedback. It is small so book early. The number is 613-487-2165. Gail
