  Does anyone by chance know where someone could get a free or low cost spay or neuter local to Lumberton (Haittesburg or thereabouts). My aunt with all the dogs on her property is trying to get some help somehow. She doesn't have a lot of money because she and her husband are both on disability and people just keep dropping off their unwanted dogs near her house in Lumberton. She takes them in because she doesn't want to see them starve or get hit by a car. Someone just dropped off another dog - a puppy/young adult and she has her inside because the dogs outside were picking on her terribly. She seems adoptable so I'm also trying to find a rescue or foster that might take her in. She now has 16 dogs I think outside. And 8 inside! She can barely afford to feed them so I've had people donate food as you may remember back in November, she's been also buying food and I've been buying food as well. She goes through so much food with all those dogs. Two of the females are pregnant and likely to have the pups soon. We really need to get them fixed after so we can avoid the repeat litters. I will also be looking for a rescue or foster for the puppies once they are born and mama if she can be caught. Most of the dogs are skiddish.

  Tell her to call the spay and neuter clinic in Hattiesburg. They have specials going on all the time. Sometimes you can get it done for free.
