Maybe this will help. Also, tell him to try Federal, State, and local Government offices as well as Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and Target. All have committed to hiring Veterans. http://vetcentral.us.jobs/veteransmembers.asp

I just took my dog to the vet for the first time since I moved here. We went here: Town and Country Animal Hospital 12 Gravel Pit Rd Hattiesburg, MS 39402 A young female veterinarian sat and talked with me over small concerns about my pet and put my mind at ease. I never felt like she was rushing the visit and that meant a lot. The place was very clean and overall I was impressed. You would have to call for pricing but it is a place I will take my dog back to when the need arises. I hope this helps!

Advanced pet care on hwy 98 is really good also. I have used them for years, and have always felt good about taking my "kids" there.

Don't go to the 24 hour vet. They tried to convince me to have a $4000 surgery on my cat. They put him in a bandage for a week instead and then he was fine. No surgery needed.
FreedomB26 replied:
Animal ER is a little pricey, but they're also one of the few (maybe only?) which is open 24/7 - so it has it's place. As far as being pricey, they can be, but they also have 8 veterinarians on staff and do in-house testing. Not justifying their prices, just explaining probably why. Anything super serious or emergent I would probably take my pet back there, but for run of the mill type things, I might look elsewhere.

During an emergency, I recommend E-Vets (Emergency Vets) on Hwy 49.
CollardGreene replied:
Holland Veterinary Hospital on Hwy 49, just south of town is great. It's a large and small animal practice, but my experience is those practices have a bit fairer prices than small-animal only practices. They also sell all of the feed, flea/tick stuff, and meds you need. Also, since it's not crammed full of pushy teacup dog and cat owners, you can get it and out very quick. A basic checkup with all the shots and everything there (I've got a bloodhound) ran in the 100-150 range, but that included 6 mos vaccines for heartworms and all. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
randumnumber replied:
All animal clinic on oak grove road is who I use, has always taken time with us and prices are fair..Dont use Animal ER they are terrible, and the animals you see there.. they are not for adoption they are 300-600 dollar puppy mill dogs.

We use All Animal Clinic on OG Rd, if you turn up btw McD's and Kangaroo on 98. They are amazing with our animals.

The Spay and Neuter Clinic sometimes have grants available to help offset the cost of surgery. They performed the surgeries on two of our rescue dogs and two of our cats.
Southern Pines Animal Clinic/Hospital. It's on 49 like headed towards our house. They are reasonably priced and very nice. I'll ask my sister who she uses because she lives in Oak Grove so that would be a lot closer to you.
Does anyone know of a honest REASONABLY PRICED Veterinarian in the Laurel, Petal, or Hattiesburg area???
Rosebud C. replied:
I know it's not in the areas you mentioned but I love Jason or Dr Pitts in Waynesboro. They have been awesome with my fur babies and will even come to your house in middle of the night if needed. I will never use anyone different.
