Can anyone recommend a place to go horse riding? Ideally somewhere not too far from Moscow (suitable for a day trip) that isn't too expensive.

Sorry, Mark I hit the wrong key. You can catch a train direct from Kurskaya Voksal to Petushki which takes 2 hrs 15 and we meet you at the station. On complex we have our own boutique country hotel hence either come for a day or make it a week end break. Riding costs Rb800 an hour in the forest with one of our qualified trainers. Hotel room, with breakfast is Rb4000. If you wish you can ride mornings on your horse and then in the afternoon explore the forest further on one of our quadracycles at Rb1700 an hour accompanied by one of our professional riders. Add a sauna, if you wish! My contact numbers are 8903 961 5880 and email johnkopiski@gmail.com Bogdarnya on facebook.

Bogdarnya! Ask John Kopiski
John K. replied:
Hello Mark, I am the owner of KSK Bogdarnya ( Equestrian centre and Agro-eco Tour centre) in village of Krutovo close to Petushki Town. We have our own 27 horses and are in the centre of huge pine forests.
I've got a cheesy question: anyone know where one can get a decent cheddar? The azbuka one is terrible.
John K. replied:
10-11 kg of milk to one kg of cheese hence anything good cannot be cheap. Bogdarnya has cheese but young - 5-6 weeks. Soon they will start Emmentahl and cheddar. see www.bogdarnya.ru
