We are looking for places to eat on Friday evening in Maidstone as we are going down for a family wedding at the weekend. I have found Frankie and Benny's and Zizzi's on yell.com

The Zizzi's in Maidstone is very good with their allergens, I've eaten there several times with no problems, so that's a good option. The Yew Tree (which is outside Maidstone city centre in Sandling) is brilliant. It's a country style "pub" (more a restaurant with very good bar!) with very high quality food. I went there when it first opened in April and the service and food was fantastic. They didn't have a dedicated gluten free menu when I went (no idea if they do now), but the cook was kind enough to go through the entire menu with me over the phone and tell me what was gf and what they could adapt. I wanted something that wasn't gf on the day and they were even kind enough to make up an entirely new sauce just for me, which shows they do pay attention! The setting is also lovely, it's a tiny little place and quite special. However, if you want to go, be sure you book ahead (serious limit on space) and explain you're GF. http://www.theyewtreesandling.co.uk/main-menu.php
