I've just come back and have never eaten so well! I was right by Times Square and found so many places to eat. 1.Blooms -350 Lexington avenue is great for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Gluten free pancakes, French toast and more! 2. Risotteria -270 Bleecker street is AMAZING! Full gluten free menu. Pizza, paninis, risottos and their dessert menu is to die for! They also had the most amazing gluten free bread sticks! 3. I ate at a restaurant called Beauty and Essex which is quite quirky and unusual but they had a gluten free menu and the food was delicious! 4. Morton's steakhouse - expensive but had a gluten free menu and were very knowledgeable. 5.Nizza - 630 9 th avenue. Pizza and pasta! Gluten free menu again! 6.Tu-Lu's bakery - look at their website. I nearly fainted haha 7. If you go to a Yankee's game they have all the usual hot dog/pretzel/nacho stands but they also have a special gluten free stand! 8. Heartland Brewery - gluten free menu including gluten free beer! For snacks etc, there are lots of mini supermarkets that do pots of fruit, crisps, yoghurts and salads etc. I was SO worried before going to New York but it's been the best place I've travelled to since being diagnosed. Everywhere I ate I found people knew exactly what "gluten free" meant! Such a relief. Enjoy yourself and if you have any questions let me know!!

New york is amazing for eating gluten free!! I have been twice as you can eat soo well there, its soo much further forward with gf than the uk! I definately recommend blooms deli, went there every morning for my breakfast, they have a dedicated gf menu including gf pancakes and french toast and you can even have a burger in a bun! If you go to blooms then just atound the corner from it is a dedicated gf bakery called pip's place where everything is gluten free! They have soo many cakes to choose from! Another bakery is called babycakes. Also tgi fridays have a good gf menu with baby back ribs! You are guaranteed to eat well in new york :)

Blooms Delicatessen near Grande Central Station has a gluten free menu. I had an enormous chicken club sandwich there and was so full I didn't think I could eat again for a week (but I did). also if you want a nice evening meal then Basso 56 is a lovely Italian restaurant who were very helpful and made me a special pasta meal (plenty of choice) and a pannacotta to die for. Its quite central on W56 th Street. Finally Friedmans Deli at Chelsea Market does really tasty burgers (choices too) with a gluten free bun. They are on 75 9 th avenue, all of them have websites to look at. Have a great time, wish I was going again too
