  If you want to go to the Reichstag building but want to avoid the queues I can highly recommend booking breakfast/lunch/dinner in the Käfer restaurant on the roof. If you book in advance you get to skip all the queues and enter via a side entrance and the lift takes you up to the roof and the magnificent dome and view of the Brandenburg gate. It isn't cheap but we shared two breakfasts with our teenage daughters, it was delicious and there was plenty for everyone. The link is http://www.feinkost-kaefer.de/dt_bundestag/
