  I'm hoping folks here can make a recommendation - preferably in Astoria/LIC but open to location and price). I'm looking for a trainer or a class that has a specific focus on "the walk". We have A LOT of challenges in this area and it's making for a very tense and stressful life for both of us. We already did basic puppy class - and will continue with training classes - but this issue has to be corrected before we can move forward. Also wondering if folks think I should wait until Spring as we won't be walking nearly the same amount in the next few months...? I also currently use dog walkers but I think they ignore a good bit of the bad behavior. Happy to answer any specifics if it helps with a recommendation. TIA

  Seeking a trainer! In the last few months, our 3 year old pit mix has become possessive of her food, her toys, and her owners, when around other dogs. On several occasions she has barked at, lunged at, or chased away other dogs. She never directs this behavior toward humans, and is our only pet, so we only see the behavior outside of our home. Can anyone recommend a trainer who can help us correct this possessive behavior? Thank you!
