  A friend of mine is visiting us in Utah and wants to see Canyonlands on his way up. We'd like to drive down from our new home in SLC and see it with him. Unfortunately it's over Memorial Day weekend so things will be very full (May 28-31). Does anybody have a recommendation for a place to stay? We were able to nab campsite reservations on White Rim Trail on the 30th but everything else is first come first serve and most hotels are full. Looking for BnBs, houses for rent, private land that allows camping, whatever works! We'll have a Jeep and a Toyota 4x4, three adults, and a toddler. Thanks!

  Good morning everyone! Sorry, this is long... I know everyone is pretty busy with EJS, but I was hoping for some input. My hubby and I are planning a family trip to Moab in June (19-24-leaving the morning of the 24th, my brother will be joining us in his Xterra and we'll have our kids with us as well, they love adventure like we do). We will be riding White Rim Trail the first few days, but on June 22nd we will be heading into Moab and hopefully figure out what other trails to go on. We have two days to run some trails after we come off White Rim. We will have our Jeep Wrangler Rubi unlimited set up with some good stuff (hubby has a list, just bought a Dynatrac 44 front end, will have a 4' lift and 37" toyo tires). We have a few trails in mind: Seven Mile, Fin's and Thing's and Lockhart. We haven't decided which, or what other side trails we may want to do. but we were wondering if someone in the Red Rocks club would be around, or anyone else who loves 4 wheeling (I know everyone here does, lol) and would maybe want to ride some trails with us, maybe have some info on the different trails. We've wheeled the Big Horn mountains here in WY and some trails in MT, so we have wheeled before :) We were just in Moab at the end of Feb/beginning of March and fell in love, and ran quite a few of the easy trails, and only a couple of the easy/moderate trails. And if anyone has some suggestions on hotels to stay at, that won't cost us an arm an a leg, that would be awesome as well. We stayed at the Days Inn when we were just down there, and it was fine, but it's a chain, and all the searches I have done so far on, say Travelocity, have come up with mostly chain hotels. So, if anyone knows where we could rest our heads for a couple nights when we're down there, let me know via pm/tag me in the comments! Thanks!! :D
