We had Chris from Golden-Shoe come out to do the job. He was very fast, sensitive to the situation, and affordable. His two teen daughters assisted him and were very skilled and professional.* SLAUGHTER HELP NEEDED ASAP in CANBY. Last night our Guernsey cow ruptured her uterus and aborted her calf. The vet told was there the whole time; she told us we need to slaughter her ASAP if she made it through the night. She is still alive but laying exhausted on the ground- she needs to be put down as soon as possible. We are in Canby. Is anyone here equipped to slaughter her this morning, or do you have a number of a mobile slaughter service that will be able to come out last minute on a Sunday morning? Thanks for any help.. we are obviously heartbroken and in shock... trying to act quickly to salvage what meat she can provide us. I can't believe I'm writing this right now. Devastated.

  Chief Dave is great, and only charges $50 a head. We used them for our pigs in November, and will use him again at the end of this month for another round. 503-631-7383 We tried getting a hold of wimsatts and yoder last year for about 6 weeks, with no call backs. Chief Dave answered on the first try.
