Here comes another of my long, question filled posts! (because what endurance athlete can keep anything short?)
In my endless pursuit of reestablishing my fitness and crushing the high school version of myself, I am committed to training and eating properly in order to meet some very ambitious goals. I am finding that I really need a team of people to get me there. I feel that I found an ideal physical therapist in Matt Stevens. He has completely broken down my running and established the things I need to do to rebuild it properly. I have yet to find somebody who can help me with the nutrition issues that I'm experiencing so I'm continuing to search for that.
What I'm searching for now is a running coach. In addition to biking and swimming I have very ambitious running time goals I'd like to achieve and feel that I'm at a point where I absolutely need a coach to get me to those times. For a frame of reference, I have goals in the following range: 5k-15:45, Marathon-2:39. Does anybody know who the running coaches are in the relatively close geographic (200 miles or so) area with experience enough to help guide me to those times? I know the club is sponsored by Northcoast endurance but I'm not sure if their coaches have that degree of specificity with running or if they are better suited towards all-around coaching for triathlon. Any advice from those wiser than me?
