Best place to buy my first Foil? I'm trying to get my parents to buy me a foil for Christmas but it occurred to me that I'm not sure where to get one from, and I'm sure they don't know either. I dont own any fencing equipment and have borrowed up until now. Of course, in the wake of covid, borrowing is an issue. I'd like to at least get a foil and work from there. Where are the best places online to buy a good foil for beginners. Im not looking for something really expensive, but I dont want cheap garbage either. Im left handed and usually use pistol grip, but would be fine with french grip. Any recommendations?

The usual suspects are * Blue Gauntlet - [https://www.blue-gauntlet.com/](https://www.blue-gauntlet.com/) * Absolute Fencing - [https://www.absolutefencinggear.com/](https://www.absolutefencinggear.com/) And there's a guide to beginners' equipment on [fencing.net](https://fencing.net) here: [https://www.fencing.net/15753/beginner-fencing-equipment-buyers-guide/](https://www.fencing.net/15753/beginner-fencing-equipment-buyers-guide/)
Hi all! Greetings to everyone I haven't met in person. I've been showing up to the Monday practices for a couple of weeks and having a really good time serving as a training dummy. I am looking to purchase my own rapier and fencing mask and would be very grateful if anyone could provide recommendations. I am thinking about something like this: http://www.zenwarriorarmory.com/catalog.php?item=249&catid=70&ret=catalog.php%3Fcategory%3D70 with a 35" blade. Has anyone had experience with these weapons?

Fencing.net has some good mask options that meet the 12 kg punch test at under $100. I got mine there, and have been quite happy with it. I strongly recommend going with the removable bib option so you can throw the bib in the wash when you need to.
Does anyone have the means of getting in contact with a representative at fencing.net?
Actually, better yet, is anyone in this group affiliated with the company?
I was emailing back and fourth a while ago with a man named Craig about an issue involving the shipping of a parcel. Now suddenly fencing.net is answering none of my messages. I have also tried contacting them through their website.
Can someone help?

Post on the fencing.net forum? That might get some attention.
If you have been fencing since November 2012 or before, you are expected to acquire at least a basic set of gear: Mask, Jacket, Glove, (Foil/Saber/epee), underarm protector and bag to haul it. I have...
