I am looking for a yoga class to attend along with my 10 yr old daughter (beginner). Can anyone recommend somewhere/one locally please? Would need to be evenings. TIA

You can also look on the British Wheel of Yoga Website for teachers in your area. http://www.bwy.org.uk/
Deb you need to look at this website: www.bwy.org.uk/ This is what all qualified yoga teachers in the UK have to be a member of & it has details of classes all around the UK xx
Does anyone know of a Monday evening yoga class around Allerton, Liverpool? A student is looking for an extra class to go to. Thanks.

Contact swami Rosemary prema Bennett. Her details will be on the teachers listings on www.BWY.org.uk. She lives in allerton & it's not often you get the chance to practice with a proper swami in the uk. Xx
I am currently a fitness instructor in the Derby area, I would really like to train to be a yoga instructor, can anyone on here recommend a reputable course to go on please.

Hi Susan. As Julie says, its best to go on a slow steady course, at least 200 hours so you get a good grounding in Yoga. I would advise a course either validated by the British Wheel of Yoga, as Julie recommends, or Yoga Alliance UK. I would also advise you meet the tutors for a chat or try a taster day first to make sure the yoga style works for you. There are many different styles of yoga now, some stronger physically than others. Best advice - find a style you love My style of yoga is Dru, a flowing therapeutic style which incorporates some Pilates and tai chi principals. A new course is starting in the spring at Derby University. Its a 2 year, 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered course. I have the details if you are interested.
