Although now he is a completely happy boy, he is still very afraid and we are particular about our vet. We are looking for a vet that does shots and immunizations in the exam room rather than taking our dog to the back. We also want someone willing to check our dog out on the floor rather than lifting him up to a table. (We had a very bad experience before). A kind and patient vet who truly loves dogs is a must. I have been going to him with our female yorkie since she was a puppy 9 years ago. And she's pretty good with vet appt. however we adopted a puppy mill dog 3 years ago and he is totally new to being a house dog. Vet appt, grooming, he's afraid of men. There's always places that groom dogs but rarely a place for cats and those that do have limited hours (when the 1 groomer is there). Is there a place that you would recommend? I have 3 cats and with the cold I don't get to de-shed them as much as I would like. I work in the Loop and don't get back into Elgin until 7pm, so weekend hours would be preferred.
