We have been extremely happy with Elgin Animal Clinic, however it is on the East side at 19 & Shales. They are very reasonable, compassionate, skilled, and honest.

I've had great luck with Dundee Animal Hospital. In fact, I brought Merlin into their emergency clinic yesterday early morning for odd behavior and mouth pain.

I have a wonderful vet who comes to my house! He is great! For emergencies he refers to Dundee Animal Hospital! Traveling vet is Dr . Jeff Merrill Companion Vet! He is very reasonable and reliable! Not nearby, but I HIGHLY recommend College Station Cat Clinic -- I absolutely love Dr. Watson.

I have used Cleveland Animal Clinic on S. McLean in S. Elgin for over 25 years. They are located between Booker's and McDonald's - kind of set back from the street on the west side. They actually seem to specialize in cats. They even have a kitty day care. Probably not the cheapest veterinary clinic, but certainly an excellent one.

Cleveland Vet Clinic South Elgin- the best vet EVER.

Last year my dog got into a fight with my foster dog. My dog ended up in emergency surgery at the ER vet on McLean. I was traumatized by the whole situation. When I took my dog for the follow-up at Randall Rd. S Elginn the vet came in to take my dog to the back and my dog was hesitant, the vet yanked on him in the door way, at the same time my dog bucked up on his hind legs and the vet slammed him into the door jam. I was hysterical. My husband took the dog back to have his stiches removed and tuned up the vet about what he did. I have only been back to have anal glands expressed on my other dog, but I think it is time to go to Cleveland.

Dr. Groth is a wonderful, caring vet over at Tri-City Animal Hospital on Summit on the east side of town. She's taken care of our elder cat for well over 10 years and its easy for me to speak highly of her. Good luck! <3

So now, I live in Lake in the Hills, and we make the 45 minute drive to South Elgin anytime one of our fur babies needs a visit! In 30 years/9 pets total, we have NEVER had a bad experience.:)

Dr. Bone at Tri City? Is the whole facility closing? If not, Dr Groth there is great.

Elgin Animal clinic is one of the best vets we hve been to!!!!!

I highly recommend Randall Road Animal Hospital. Best we've seen so far. My pups love the doc and all of the staff that work there. They're great. Plus they do 50% off vaccinations twice a week and their over all prices are better than so many other places.

I like South Town Animal Hospital

I take my 11 cats to the Animal Care Clinic on Randall Road 847/742-5700. It is a full service clinic, is able to provide everything except emergency service when they are closed. They are open late, til 7pm and 8 pm depending on the day. Their surgery center is fabulous. I just had an EEG done for one cat, to be sure he was able to go thru anesthesia, and ultrasound treatments for another for arthritis of the elbow. They are affiliated with Premier 24 hour emergency vet clinic. 796 North McClean Blvd. 847/695-1289. We get a multi cat discount, but I will not say they are cheap, as good vet care costs money, but we use Care Credit which allows you to pay within 1 year with no interest. That helps greatly.

When I lived in Elgin I only went to Dundee Animal Hospital they were the best.

We go to Sutton Rd. Animal Hospital. But there is no arguing the fact that Dundee has carried a stellar reputation for years! I knew one of the partners at Sutton personally, he retired, but we have always found their staff to be very professional, even after he left. So we just have stayed with them.

I have been going to Dundee Animal Hospital for 23 years & would highly recommend this Veterinary medical clinic. The staff & veterinarians are very kind, caring, and professional. I have used the emergency clinic on several occasions & feel reassured that someone is always there for the animals. I have noticed that many of the staff have worked there since my first visit. Love them!!

Have used Cleveland Vet Clinic in S. Elgin for 12 yrs. They have 4 vets on staff, all terrific. We've had very good care for our cats through CVC.

I second Cleveland Animal. I have had to go there thru the years with dog and cat emergencies and they are wonderful.
