I don't know if I'll be able to adopt a Meezer due to whether or not the rescue centers/PetFinder will have one available by the time July/August rolls around, so in the meantime, I'm doing research on breeders in Michigan and the surrounding states just in case. * Does anyone from Michigan/West Michigan area have a breeder they recommend? Do you possibly know their prices? (I've only found two breeders who list their prices on their website.) * How can I tell if I can trust a breeder/cattery? What prices should I expect a Meezer/Bali to be from a breeder? So far, I'm assuming up to $800 USD, and I'm halfway to that point in savings. Is there anything else I should consider that I haven't listed? Thanks!
Flap_Dragon replied:I currently have an alert set up on adopt-a-pet.com for any Siamese/Balinese/etc kittens in my area so I get sent an email as soon as one pops up at a nearby shelter. This is how I found my previous meezer! You will have to be ready to act quickly once you’re notified because they tend to get adopted quickly. Typically around $100-$150 like the other poster said, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than breeders. Good luck in your search!

Essentially they are their own rescue without working with a group. Anyone can do it.

He will have to go into boarding, which I cannot afford and it would be incredibly stressful for him. I took him in knowing his time here was limited in order to save him from euthanasia. My town has to euthanize owner surrenders. OAKLEY 10 month old neutered male. Need a home or rescue. No small animals! Loves hike, walk and swim. Good with kids and other dogs.
