  Not a tax question, but I am interviewing with a university in Dubai and need original diplomas and transcripts authenticated then attested by the UAE embassy in the US. Has anyone out there used an agency to get this done and if so, what agency? Thanks.

  Lindsey, First you must have them authenticated by your Secretary of State were you live. In Maryland this required me to go to my county courthouse and have them notarized by the clerk of the court. I then took them to the Secretary of States office were I received a letter and another stamp. After that they must go to the US State Department and the UAE Embassy. I used a company called Proex to do the State Dept. and UAE Embassy. If you are Married do your Marriage certificate at the same time. Link to Proex...http://www.goproex.com/.

  Hi, all. I am required to have my graduate diploma and teaching license attested in the U.S. (certified by a Notary Public, stamped by the U.S. Secretary of State, etc.). The problem is that the two agencies that I've contacted charge approximately $400 and up for their services. Is this the norm? Can anyone recommend agencies in the Washington, D.C. area? I could do it myself because I have lots of time, but I'm stumped at the prices.
