  Peter emailed--hi folks,my name is Pete and I just had my left leg amputated after 28 years of pain from a motorcycle accident . I know it's soon but the phantom pains are killing me . my dr seems like a good guy but I am open to any and all suggestions has anyone tried acupuncture or hypnosis??? Above knee amputation and foot and toes are in fire. sorry but having trouble typing due to pain meds -that I hate.

  Anyone that lives in the San Diego area UCSD hospitals in La Jolla and Hillcrest are conducting a free Phantom Limb Pain Research Study and you will be compensated. They are inserting a catheter into your nerves and injecting local a anesthetics You receive $100 following each catheter insertion and $50/day during the 6 day infusions. Contact Anya C.
