Rock Retro Scissors : It's more than just a "Hair Salon", it's the place to hangout, listen to cool tunes, get your hair "did" and buy all things odd.
Imagined by Katie and Matthew from our love of beautiful hair, vintage and all things music, we wanted a place that you felt relaxed in and welcome no matter what your look is. Like being in our Home, we are relaxed but our service isn't.
Katie has been Hairdressing for 22 years, having worked in some of Adelaide's premium Salons and for big Hair companies as a Hair Colour Technician, training Hairdressers how to use colour and creative techniques. She has worked with International and National artists, Hair shows and Events across Australia and has a love for not only for teaching up and coming Hairdressers, but also her clients on how to re-create their hair at home. Katie's passion is for all things hair, but as a Colour Specialist & Stylist is where she kicks ass,
She is also a qualified make up artist, offering Makeup in Salon.
Matthew is leading up the Gift Oddities store. Selling anything that's unique, cool and just down right odd. He also manages the business/social media/marketing aspect and anything else that Katie just doesn't understand!! And his coffees are "the best".
Stacey is a Qualified Hairdresser. Her passion is for Mens Styling, Short Haircuts & she knows her Retail...she's our In House Retail Specialist. Her fades are what she prides herself in! But she doesn't stop there! Her colour work is also on point. Having completed Lakme Colour Academy course over a year... she knows what she is talking about.
Ashlee is a Qualified Hairdresser. She loves to colour and style and gives a mean blowdry! In fact, she LOVES blowdrying! Ashlee is about quality hair and hair that is in amazing condition and her braiding... wow! If you need an upstyle, a personalised colour or pink hair... just see her!
Jennifer is a Qualified Makeup artist. Having studied at Media Makeup.
She can do Bridal, Formal all the way to... show more special effects! She is also in her first yr as a apprentice. As a Adult apprentice she brings life experience and customer knowledge to our team.
