As much as I use my GPS enabled iPad and Delorme InReach, I feel like I need to keep on me some sort of analog content. I mostly drive FS roads and BLM so not sure if there are maps with that content or simply just nation, state, county and town roads. Thanks for the suggestions!

  I like the Benchmark atlas series. Every map has to make compromises on what to show, and they do a great job of showing stuff that's useful without cluttering it up too much. Good scale as well for driving around, and no need to pull out the tablecloth sized USFS maps. Good for figuring out who owns or manages the land around were you are too. Not all the USFS road names are correct, but that's why you've got the electronic stuff.   If you want good detailed map(s) and descriptions, Backroad Mapbooks are great. I haven't checked out the hiking one yet but they did release specific hiking and fishing ones along with the general backroads book. Overwaitea usually has all 3 types (make sure you get the book for the right area). Wynndel Foods has the back roads ones, they might have the other types too, same with Mawsons.   Anyone have an input about a good GPS unit? I would like one I can use both on road (Harley) and off road on the DRZ. Obviously, has to be weatherproof for motorcycle use and easily seen in the sun while riding. Been trying to do some research and the Montana showed up as a viable option, but I was wondering if there where any others?
