  Can anybody recommend a seamstress who is experienced with wedding dresses? I need somebody to shorten and fit my dress, replace a zip, sew on a sash and possibly add a pale pink underskirt underneath the tulle skirt to add a hint of colour. TIA.

  I went for my first fitting for my wedding dress today, the entire bodice area is beading & it all needs to be taken off & sewn back in where she's taking my dress in so much, it's a halter neck too & that piece needs shortening. She's also putting a loop & hook on the back So my train can be tucked up so I can dance freely. All together its all costing £140. It's the wedding shop opposite Wilkinsons but the actual dress fittings is in the men's suits place upstairs which is right next door to the wedding dress part. It's called "The Grooms Room" & their telephone number is 01452 520644. It's in St.Aldate Street xx
