My Helix is back-firing on compression and getting louder every day !! One part is the larger gasket and one is the small. One should never have to be change and the other can be....   But to answer your question; I buy mine at the dealer, unless I'm placing a large order with an online parts supplier (like powersportscompany.com), when I'll just throw a few of each into the order just to have on hand. But if I'm buying one set, I go to the dealer. If you develop a relationship with your local dealer, you can often convince them to keep a set in-stock for you!

  Quick poll here; it seems we get countless requests beginning with "Where can I find (insert part here)?" 99% of the time, it's a dealer-only part. Here's my quandary; Are people afraid of dealers? Do they not have dealers in their area? I'm honestly curious... The Helix has one of the best support networks in terms of replacement parts for scooters, and is still supported almost entirely by Honda's parts distribution network (with few exceptions).

  In the Manchester, NH area, I use Nault's for small orders; but larger orders I order from powersportscompany.com (a real Honda dealer that sells parts on the internet at a massive discount)

  Hello fellow "Helixers." My wife and I just picked up this gem to add to our stable. 2004 with 18k miles. While I have your attention, any recommendations for brake pads, shoes, front rotor and belt? I have a local dealer, but figured I would ask before I pull the trigger.

  When it comes to brakes, dont bother changing the rotor unless it's worn beyond spec. You can use Nissin pads (OEM from the dealer) or EBC; both are equal in terms of quality from my experience. The rotor is expensive, but should only be replaced with OEM. The belt should only be bought from the dealer, to avoid buying a counterfiet by accident. Tires; stick with OEM Bridgestones, which can be bought from motorcycle superstore online at a massive discount. Everything else; stick with dealer parts. I buy most parts from powersportscompany.com
