  Our washer started acting up in November and we called these guys: http://www.waterlooapplianceservice.com/ Can't speak for the work as they didn't repair it, but they were honest enough to tell my wife that we shouldn't repair it and just buy new (by the quote we knew that, but it was nice of them to not push for a job). I wouldn't hesitate to call them again based entirely on that.
