Backyard fruit exchange? By any chance, does anyone know if there are resources for people who'd like to buy fruit directly from those who grow it in their backyard rather than a grocery store or farmer's market?
I was thinking about how it's almost impossible to find truly tree-ripened fruit unless you grow it yourself or know someone with a tree.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I donate oranges from my orange tree to [foodforward.org](https://foodforward.org/got-produce/got-fruit-trees/)
Does anyone know of a food bank or other organization that comes to your home and picks the fruit(apples, Oranges etc) ??

check with FoodForward.Org However we just heard that there is a Medfly problem in the Valley again (75%) and I don't know about bringing fruit from one place to the other is wise or allowed.
Can anyone recommend a company that picks fruit? I heard there are non-profits Co that will remove all the fruit and donate it families in need. I have this HUGE grapefruit tree and I hate to see it all go to waste.

Hi Chris! I am the harvest manager at Food Forward, and a West Hills resident, and would be happy to help answer any questions you have and help to coordinate a harvest of your grapefruit tree. Feel free to pm me!
Does anyone know any local gleaners who can help me pick oranges off my tree for donation to local food banks? The group I usually call has sadly disbanded. Thanks!
