  Iso nursing maid $1 - Lorain, Ohio In need of serious help. We had a mare foal yesterday and unfortunately lost the mare. In search of another mare to nurse the foal. I remember seeing on here a while back of a place that has mares on hand to deal with this sort of situation. If anyone has an available mare, or the contact information for this place please message me! Any help is greatly appreciated.

  If you want to bucket raise the foal: Last Chance Corral is a great resource, they take the babies which are discarded to die from nurse mare foals and get them started and adopt them out. http://www.lastchancecorral.org

  I lost my mini mare tonight and she had a 5 week old baby. He is eating grain and grass and drinking water but i would love to find him a nurse mare if possible in the North Battleford Sk. area. I do have milk replacer for him and will try get him drinking that. Any and all advice is appreciated.

  If your looking to rescue look at last chance corral. They have nurse mare foals. They are alot of work But an amazing journey.

  Susan Hurd Barr , Not NEC. True. I had Tonka given at weaning. The people bought the mare with foal at side and didn't want the foal. I got a weanling Mustang from BLM sale for $125. Last Chance has strict rules, must go to their Website and read up. Also. Julie Copper, is down ATM but some times foals get left behind in the Kill Pen, she might be a good one to talk to about saving one. Last Chance Corral is going to be at Equine Affaire Next weekend, a good time to talk to them about adoption and rules and they have some really cute foals they are taking with them this year.
