I have always been an outside of the box kind of guy. The mainstream has never attracted me, and I am usually turned off by new workout trends and diets.
Giant chain gyms never felt like home to me. My favorite weight room growing up was the one in the old field house of my high school football team. It was filled with barbells, bench presses, and squat racks. It was old, it was never crowded, and it felt like home. Fast forward a decade or so later and I walked out of my local ‘globo’ gym, where I had been training for a couple of years, and swore to myself that I would never return. It wasn’t that something specific made me want to not come back, it was just that I did not ever feel like it was the place for me.
I eventually started building a home gym and within a few years I had taken over my two car garage. I made my own chalk on the bar kind of weight room.
At Rebel Muscle I have made a new home for myself and for people like me, who just feel lost at giant gyms, or who just aren’t getting what they want out of their current routines.
We rebel against current workout trends and media hype, and we focus on movements that have been proven true and effective again and again. And we always get better.
Yes, I am a certified personal trainer, but that does not define who I am or what I do.
I am a coach, a teacher, and a partner to my clients. We are in this together. We are part of the physical culture movement that started in the late 19th century and continued on into the next.
We train compound movements and we see positive changes in our bodies and our fitness levels. We look better, we feel better, and we perform better.
Our motto is simple; better than yesterday.
I encourage anyone reading this to come and experience a two week trial with Rebel Muscle. I am confident that you will like what you find here.
