  southern IL purchasing So, I turned 21 recently and I want to buy a handgun. I renewed my FOID card- currently waiting on the new one to be sent here after an address change. As far as my options go, I can buy one from a gun store near me (live in madison county, close ish to StL), buy one in Missouri the next time I head out that way, buy one online and have it shipped to a shop or my friend (has a FFL) Additionally, does anyone have any recommendations for stores in my area? The two in my town I went to had outrageous mark ups. Also suggestions for websites? Palmetto State Armory and Gunbroker are what I've been looking at Is there any benefit to buying online or in Missouri, besides price? Downside? And is there any legal issue with hopping over the border where it'll probably be cheaper? I grew up around guns, but this is my first time buying one

  KYGunCo.com has great pricing, no sales tax and will give you a discount for not paying with a CC. I've already ordered two from them. Also, check Gun.deals (yes, that's the website). It's like a google for gun sites. Search a gun and it shows you all the sites and prices.

  Guns and leather in hendersonville. Budsgunshop.com or kygunco.com, the gun show when its around. I wouldn't trust clerks in larger stores like gander mountain or academy sports or dick's outdoors to know much about the guns, but those places could be useful if you want to maybe get a feel of one before ordering online or something..
