  Hi, I was wondering what type of trap I would need to buy to catch a feral? Would a havaheart trap work? I tried borrowing one from the humane society but one week is not long enough to catch him. The cat disappeared that entire week, but came back tonight and viciously attacked my two other cats in our garage. I need to catch him and get him neutered asap! Can you recommend where I can get him neutered at? I probably can't make it to catnip, as he does not come consistently enough that I could trap him and take him in on a Sunday. Unless there are other days available?

  We have humane traps for rental here at our office for a $70 deposit that you get back when you return the trap to us. We also have a partnership with No More Homeless Pets/ Operation Petsnip for spay/neuters of community cats on Mondays and Wednesdays in between our Sunday clinic dates. Please call us at (352) 380-0940 for more information. We are in the office from 1-6 pm Monday through Friday and 9 a-12 p on Saturday.   I live in the Bivens Cove area and we have some strays that are in dire need of help. I know Operation Catnip services this area for neuters and spays, but who can I call if I have a young male, neutered cat (2 yo at most) who is in need of serious health care? He's got mites or mange and I'm very worried about the upcoming freeze b/c of loss of fur and low weight. We have indoor cats of our own - otherwise we'd take him in, but this cat is very sweet and personable and we really want to help him. Thoughts? Ideas? Please advise. Thanks!!

  My skittish indoor only cat has escaped outside and I haven't been able to find where she is hiding. Research online tells me she is likely hiding nearby and I should try a trap to catch her (though there are lots of raccoons in the area!). Does anyone know where I can lease a trap or have additional suggestions?

  Hi Thomas, we recommend posting a picture of her and a description on Gainesville Pet Finder. It is a facebook page that has really good success with reuniting owners and lost pets. Additionally, try calling for her in the early morning or dusk. Putting up flyers in your neighborhood can also be quite helpful. We also recommend visiting the local animal shelter on Tuesdays or Saturdays to check if she is there. Please call our office at 352-380-0940, if you need any help!

  my one month old kitten's eye was glued shut this morning. We got it open but we think it needs some drops. Does anyone have extra or do they sell that kind of stuff at walmart or kmart or walgreens?? Otherwise, does anyone know of any cheap vets just to get a script??
