  Hi, could u post this for me please.. Can anyone recommend a good solicitor? We are buying a house and need a local solicitor to sort the paperwork and all that sort of stuff, we need them to be fairly speedy as I've heard some take up to a couple of months! Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks :)

  I used Parkes Browne in the past (now called DB) who were very good. However it's not usually the solicitor who holds things up, the process of buying and selling, searches, surveys, land registry and chains that can hold things up. It's quicker if you have a mortgage in place and there is no onward chain, 2 months is pretty good, when I bought in the past with no chain the process took about 6 weeks.
