  Question from the Inbox ~ Hi. We are moving to Keesler this May and I haven't been able to find much about it online. I have a son who will be starting Pre-K in the spring, and I will be having another baby in August. What kind of family stuff is there to do for a family of 5, (my husband, myself, a 4yo, a 1yo and a newborn) or stuff we can do before the baby. And schools for my son. Also, what is the difference in housing? When I go to the website from the Keesler.af.mil link, it give me 5 different housing areas, but no information on any of them. What are the chances we could get a 4 bedroom? How far/close are they to things on base? Also, what is the hospital on base like? Will I deliver on base or will they send me off? We get sent off base here. Any information anyone has on Biloxi and Keesler would be greatly appreciated.

  We are currently stationed at Keesler and love it! Housing is fairly new and i think its pretty nice for base housing. We live in off-base housing but will soon be moving to the on-base housing. The off-base is really close to base. This website should give you more info on housing www.fckeeslerafb.com The medical/hospital facilities are great! You will deliver on base. And the child care--CDC... I had my own experience there and chose to take my child off base for child care. There are people who have had good experiences so maybe they can help you much more than I can. Tons of family stuff to do! Lots of one day road trip places to visit.

  Question from the Inbox ~ I am wondering if anyone has had experience with acquiring SNCO/CGO base housing at Kessler AFB. My family is PCSing there in early April and would like to live on base but the property management office is telling us that we can't be put on the waiting list until we arrive. In my experience, once the military member has orders, the leasing office is allowed to start the process for base housing. Can anyone tell me why this company is different? Thanks!
