  Hi mums, is there something like a nanny service where a professional or registered person would be able to help? Im going to a 3 day conference and need someone to check in on the kids (12 and 13) in the morning before school and in the evening for a couple of hours. They are very self sufficient but i dont want to leave them all on their own. Does this exist (like a casual) and what does it cost more or less? I dont have family i can ask and got burnt when i asked a friend so a paid service will be the best option if im able to meet the person beforehand. Thank you!

  Dear mums, I am after recommendations of where to find great nannies. Looking for feedback on any of the nanny companies or privately advertising? I have just started a new job that will require some evening shifts and with hubby already working nights we need someone to pick the kids up from childcare/after school care at around 5pm take them home, do the dinner bedtime routine and basically just wait until I arrive home. Some weeks we may only need 1 night and other weeks we might need 3 depending on my roster. We wouldn't require any weekend care. Any recommendations on where to look? Thank in advance

Im looking for someone who can pick up from school 3-4 days a week, prepare afternoon tea at our home and help with homework and then do fun activities with them until i get home..they are well behaved, happy loving kids! Must have WWVP, First Aid and own vehicle... there will be the odd weekend and maybe some school holiday shifts but there will be plenty of notice....   Please post anon Hi, might sound silly but I'm looking for a babysitter who is comfortable with looking after younger children, ie I have a ten month old baby girl. My four year old boy is easy and will happy play and amuse himself but it's more finding someone that's happy to give our baby her bottle and put her to bed when we are out or help her settle should she wake in out absence. I know some sitters have a preference for older children only but want someone who is really comfortable with the younger ones. It's just for some casual work so hubby and I can go out to tea once I a while. If you are interested or other mums can recommend someone they use can you please comment. Many thanks!!

  Hi all, wondering if anyone had any other ideas to help me. We have just moved to the ACT, we have no family or friends here. We have 2 school age children, the afterschool care at their school is full (calling people who booked in December currently). I need care for my children afterschool, I have contacted other afterschool care programs, the ones at other schools that aren't full won't accept my children even if I transport them over in a taxi. The family daycares are all full and/or don't pick up. I have registered to get an ongoing nanny or babysitter. And I have contacted all the early learning centres, they don't take school age children. I am supposed to start work in a couple of weeks, I never thought this would be an issue. Is there any other childcare solutions anyone knows of? Thanks
