My work did a donation drive. I have tons of cleaning supplies, some bedding, diapers, formula, some canned goods...where can I take them to make sure they are appropriately distributed?

Call Serve San Marcos or go to their website: www.servesanmarcos.org. They can tell you who need what and you can decide where to put your donations. You can also join the FREE! For Flood Victims FB page and list what you've got. Lots of flood victims on that page looking for anything and everything.
Have a group of 15 available to come and help in the area on Monday or Tuesday. Where should i go to find where help of a group is needed for Martinadale? dont want to come over if there isn't someplace for them to work and then just be in the way?

Kristi Reed Savage, I was told that the VRC would be closed July 1 st. I do not know why it closed early. I do know that Three Rivers and the clothing distribution center will be closed July 1 st. Yes, they are still in dire need but do not have space for distribution. I called Serve San Marcos and they assured me that they would take care of volunteers and the needs of Martindale. They will even fill out forms over the phone. People are still trying to get their homes repaired so that they can move back in them so they cannot accept large donations right now. There's no where to put them.

Thanks Tanya, I'll direct everyone to Serve San Marcos for up to date information. We have many people that are accepting donations and have storage to try to keep some things until they are needed. Most out of town folks don't realize the people don't have homes to put things and are getting frustrated because we're telling them there is nowhere to take donations at this time. Are they still redirecting all donations to Luling or has that closed down too?
