We had a home warranty a couple years ago but not one company the home warranty company sent out would replace the unit! They would put freon or repair a leak, like putting a bandaid on it for a while, but would not replace it since it was from the home warranty who sent them because it wasn't worth their time to replace! All the companies said if I had hired them, they would recommend me to replace, but they dont make money on the units since the warranty company purchases them elsewhere and it isnt worth their time! Thank you to all the neighbors, friends and community who offered help. I found a most excellent contractor on the SR page and he is AMAZING!! Chris Campos (Chris AC, LLC) came out Thursday night to try to fix it, but the motor was spent and he didn't have the part. He texted me after midnight that he'd found the motor online, but then kept looking in the morning and found it locally. He drove through rush hour traffic to get it and bring it back last evening. Best sound in the world is the heat kicking on!! Chris also tried to fix our gas fireplace for over an hour so we'd at least have that option. Didn't charge for that. And what he charged for the furnace repair was very affordable. He is fair, honest, dependable, caring, and full of integrity.
