  I'm assuming you're a tenant, not a landlord. If so and you're below a certain income limit, the [Atlanta Legal Aid Society](https://atlantalegalaid.org/) and [Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation](https://avlf.org/) can provide free legal assistance regarding landlord/tenant issues. Otherwise, the [Georgia Bar Association](https://www.gabar.org/) ~~can point you to lawyer referral services.~~ Edit: The Georgia Bar will probably just send you to the Atlanta Bar for a referral, so [I'll save you a step](https://www.atlantabar.org/page/ReferralRequestform). If you want to do your own search, the Georgia Bar's site allows you to search for a lawyer by practice area.

  The State Bar of Georgia has a [tool](https://www.gabar.org/) to search for lawyers with free initial consultations. Be aware that just because something is not in both of your names does not mean it is excluded from the marital property pool.

  Most discrimination cases come under Federal law, so you need to look for an attorney who practices in the federal court system. Not all attorneys practice in federal court. You can go to the Georgia Bar Association website and find lawyers in various practice areas. www.Gabar.org
