Home Inspectors for a first time buyer Just bought our first house and have been doing some research. Can't seem to get a clear consensus on what the best course of action is for home inspection. Should we go with a single inspector that looks at everything or would it make more sense to get multiple inspectors that specialize in things like hvac and plumbing etc? On top of that I've also read that you should seek your own independent inspector and not really trust an individual recommended to you via your agent due to them potentially cutting corners to secure a sale.
Any recommendations on great inspectors in the area?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I suppose I should have worded this better, we are in contract, we haven’t “bought” anything. We have 20 days to find an inspector. Closing is late March.

Hi there! Hopefully, your agent is walking you through each step, provided you're buying your first house, congrats! I provide my buyers with a detailed timeline that lays out when to schedule inspection. I also provide THREE home inspection companies that I've personally worked with, for my buyers to choose, however you don't need to use any of them, or you can go to https://www.homeinspector.org/ I would encourage you to schedule sooner vs later because an offer is typically 10-12 days to have the inspection complete, followed by your remedy requests, if you have any. Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have an questions!
