  Yin Yoga recommendations? I live in the Plaza Midwood area and am looking for a more mediative, slower type of yoga. Most of the yoga studios I’ve tried all seem very focused on the workout aspect and I’m hoping to find a place that can balance the spiritual side as well.   If you want to stay in Plaza, check out [Okra](https://www.okracharlotte.com/yoga/). They have Yin classes and Chillax classes which are not pure Yin, but similar. If you leave Plaza, try [NoDa yoga](https://www.nodayoga.com/). Katie Overcash and Jillian Longsworth are both great teachers who focus on Yin/gentle styles.

  I'm about to teach a class in the Religion Dept. at Davidson College called Meditation Texts and will be asking the students to take a meditation class at a local studio. I don't know the area so well -- can you please post names of studios within a short drive if you think they might have a meditation class on their schedules? Thank you so much.
