Her dog is very sick and needs to be put down but she is low on funds right now. Is there a vet open Sunday that can possibly work with her so the dog doesn't suffer? Thanks.

  Emergency Vet! We usually go to kulshan but they are now partnered with the emergency clinic in Bellingham and we will NOT take our dogs there again. Anyone know of a vet that will take emergencies today? We have called Mountianview as well and they go through the emergency vet as well on Sunday :(

  Just to throw this out there Jason Miller we need a large animal Veterinary clinic up here there are enough farms to support it. Best one we have is Puget Sound Vet Group in S. Mt Vernon and after our vet trip yesterday figured I'd throw that out there again. I'm sure all the other goat and above owners would appreciate it not to mention the small animal owners.

  Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic in Burlington, is a mixed animal practice and very regularly visits upriver for many small and large farms. They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no questions asked, for large animal emergencies. They have some excellent doctors, like Dr. Joe Powers, who specializes in herd health and farm planning, as well as keeping the small animals on the farm healthy! He offers discount farm calls when multiple farms are group scheduled, which may be a great thing to ask about and organize with other farms in the area! Their number is (360)757-3722.   Lisa, Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic owns LaVenture Veterinary Clinic now (Mt. Vernon Animal Hospital) Dr. Ray handed over the reins and sold to them when he retired, a full service satellite clinic for the clients in that area :) So they will still do mixed animals, likely by making the appointment with one of the docs at CVVC, and still being on call for large animal emergencies 24/7 :)
