My husband and I have a 3 year old son, and he is starting to get ugly and threaten me with stuff, so I now feel the need to have some legal representation to protect my son and I. I am on a very tight budget as I was the housewife and stay at home mother. My husband is giving me a small amount for child support right now, but it doesn't go very far. I could make payments for services, and barter my talents. I am a photographer, and could offer portraits. I also sew, and make cloth diapers, cold packs, clothes, etc. I make jewelry. I'm a fine artist, and can paint or draw custom artwork. I can also babysit, or clean house. I am willing to do just about anything I can, but the money is just a large issue, and I am scared he will try to take my son from me. He has already threatened my camper (which my son and I live in now), and my acre of land that I took out a loan to buy so we would have a place to live... so he is hitting below the belt. I know this is all very personal information, and I hope I don't offend anyone. I am just desperate, and willing to beg for help, b/c I need it. Someone did recommend a lawyer to me, and I've called to make an appointment to speak with him. Another person recommended someone else, but said he charges $5,000 up front, and I just do not have that kind of money. :( Please pm me if you have any advice or suggestions. Thanks!
