Our design of our cupcakes and cake was also a real let down. When I first met with Laura I had shown her the photo of what i was wanting and she said no problem she got it. She didn't ask me for a copy of the photo and just jotted down notes. The design was nothing like the photo I had shown her. I had requested large daisies on the tops of the cupcakes and she put a few fondant flowers around the sides. Really unimpressed. Again she never reached out to clarify anything nor had she requested photos to work from so we had thought everything was fine.
It shouldn't be the bride and grooms job to hound their venues to see if thwy understood your requests. We were really unimpressed with Laura's lack of communication and professionalism when we tried to express ourselves after the wedding. No venue should be blaming their client for their mistakes. The wedding cake was very expensive and when a client is unsatsfied you would think a venue would offer a solution or at the very least appologize. We will not be recommending Laura for any future events.
