  Advice needed please. So I will be flying into L.A from Australia for MaxFun Con, I need some advice on what areas to stay in ? I don’t drive, so close to transport is a must, wanna see and do comedy stuff (ucb, largo, and etc). Where’s a place to stay that’s close to stuff and I can get around to other places with relative ease? Also if I wanna go down to Anaheim to see Disneyland, should I find a place to stay in Anaheim or just travel to Anaheim and come back to L.A? I’m posting this in the Pop-Rocket group, MaxFun Group, and the Max Fun Forums, just to get a wide spread of opinions. Forgive me if this seems like spam.

  I'm an Aussie and in my travel experience to LA I found that their public transport sucks, and I found that staying in Hollywood was easiest where a lot of those things are a (safe) walking distance, and those that aren't are a short uber/cab ride away. I would also recommend staying in Anaheim if you're heading to Disneyland. There are two parks there, so its easy enough to justify a nights accomodation to spend a day at each park :) http://www.hotelcelebrity.com/ - this is the hotel I've stayed at in Hollywood, nothing super fancy but it's in a great location, it's clean, comfortable and affordable and the people than run the place couldn't be nicer.
