Does anyone have a recommendation on gaiters (the kind you wear over shoes/pant legs - I just learned some people call the neck kerchiefs gaiters)? And where can they be purchased from? Needed for a sort-of trail race, rather quickly.

I've had OR gaiters for decades for hiking/backpacking. I can't speak specifically to their lightweight running gaiters, but overall they know how to make gaiters. They are also great about repairing or replacing equipment that fails. https://www.outdoorresearch.com/.../or-training...#
I thought someone posted this question here a while back but I can't find it. Where is a good place to find discounted outdoor gear, both online websites and in the Seattle area? Looking for hiking boots, snow pants, etc. TIA.
Looking for a good small lightweight camping solution. For uses in buggy hot weather. I looked at some tent cots and I love the idea but they pack up big and awkward. I need something for a kayak/sup. Something to camp the beach so trees might not be an option for hammocks. Any ideas???

if you are serious about size and are still packing a sleeping bag for comfort, go for a bivy. snugpak makes a jungle bag w/ netting (amazon), http://www.amazon.com/.../dp/B000O1PKGO (NOT for cold weather but should work for you!)http://www.outdoorresearch.com/.../advanced-bivy.html
