About us

WELCOME TO CROSSFIT PRESS ON

At CrossFit Press On, you will find a family of all types of athletes that share the same passion. We focus on metabolic conditioning combined with gymnastics and heavy lifting. We strive for functional movements and quality of life. Meaning, everything we do in our box translates into the real world. We want Grandma to be able to carry her groceries inside or give athletes the ability to carry someone out of a burning building in an emergency. Our number 1 priority is safety. We live by Mechanics, Consistency and Intensity. We focus hard core on the basics and technique. Once we have mastered that movement and are consistent with it, we increase the intensity (i.e. more speed and more weight). Once we feel we have mastered these movements, we go back to the basics because that is our way of staying grounded and focused.

We want to be able to carry large loads long distances quickly by performing constantly varied movements, which is CrossFit. We also focus on heavy lifting because there are tons of benefits from it. It prevents Osteoporosis in women especially because it makes our bones stronger. It also releases a neuroendocrine response in your body which is like a natural steroid and forces your body to repair itself quicker, which allows athletes to build more strength every time they lift heavy. Our programming is always changing, which keeps workouts fun and interesting. We do all types of exercises from rowing, jumping, running, weight lifting with a barbell and bumper plates, pull-ups, ring dips, muscle ups, regular and handstand push-ups, box jumps, wall ball shots, jump rope, kettle bell movements, core exercises and tons of mobility stretching to prevent injuries. We encourage our athletes to get comfortable with being uncomfortable because the workouts never get easy but they prepare us for the unknown.
