I need to stop being so lazy. Decided to join a gym but it's so expensive. Anyone know of any super cheap options?
Philip W. replied:
Body Renew or Planet Fitness are both good and cheap.

Body Renew is awesome! It beats out PF in my opinion because each location also offers group fitness classes for free with a membership. And it's 24 hours, so if you have a wonky schedule, it totally works! People are nice, it's super clean, and equipment is up to date

Planet fitness or body renew are good (whichever is closer). I've tried both to no avail. The thing that is (sort of) working for me is an endomondo.com account on my phone. It keeps a running tally for me and when I see a few days (or a week) of no exercise, it kind of reminds me to get going again.

Planet Fitness is great! I would also try signing up for some classes of some sort (Zumba, yoga, etc.) because those can add more of an element of fun to your workout. And I totally understand that you need something laid out for you; I do, too. I have really bad depression as well, so I completely understand. If you ever want to talk about anything, I'm here!:)

I tried Weight Watchers, but it was difficult for me to really get anywhere because the whole plan wasn't entirely laid out for me. That's why I prefer Nutrisystem. I totally get it. Another thing you can do is play video games and get workout videos that you can do at home. And having a friend with you who shares similar goals is good as well.
