Patrice Goldston - Dog Trainer Patrice has always had a love for dogs ever since she got her first dog at nine years old not even realizing her training was shaping behavior in her pets, it was her way of connecting with her pets. She graduated from Peace College in Raleigh with Biology major and a minor in Animal Science. Through her years in college she always knew that she had a special connection with animals. In her honors Anthropology class she was able to have close encounters with lemars and other primates at the Duke primate center where she ended up volunteering there with her professor in her spare time. After graduating and in the work force she started pet-sitting and training on the side for several business owners in the area and realized that she could take her passion, talent and make a career to help families and dogs all over. Patrice started her love for dogs when she was nine and got her first pet a white Maltese that she taught obedience training, tricks and even better to be a true companion to the family. Since then every pet that she had she took the time and the dedication to make sure that they had the proper obedience and love which she didn’t find out till becoming a certified dog trainer later in life that helps for a great foundation to a well balanced pet. Even in her travels across seas to England and Nicaragua she always managed to come across a stray dog that would follow her and she would set time aside to spend time and form a bond with the lost dog, by the end of her trips she would insist that the locals would find a good home for them. With all the signs pointing to go forward with her true passion she has made it her life goal to help dogs and pet owners with truly understanding what their dogs are telling us and how we can communicate with them through love and training to make a much happier home for everyone.
Looking for Dog Trainer Hi All - I am looking for a dog trainer to take my \~1yr old dog to around the Triangle area. Since most trainers are not cheap, I'd really appreciate a referral if you know of a good one.

Needing training for my leash-reactive dog ❤️ My pup is a rescue and I’m at a loss with how to help him. He’s extremely leash reactive. We rarely go on walks where there will be other dogs: if we encounter another dog, he barks madly, runs around, and sometimes attacks my other dog, his sister :( I adopted him from an abusive situation so I know that must have something to do with his reactivity. It’s only when he’s leashed, because they go to daycare and interact great with other pups. He’s also a chihuahua mix, so the Napoleon complex doesn’t help

Any local dog trainer recommendations? Hey everyone! I am looking for some recommendations of any good dog trainers, preferably boarding, in the Raleigh area. I went through K9 Offleash's program when my dog was a puppy (he just turned 2yo), but it didn't work too well since he grew quite a bit shortly after and got a lot more energetic.
I do not intend on returning back to Offleash since it is a shock collar program that made him more scared than obedient. I'm open to hearing recommendations for all training programs, but my preference is a boarding program for a more thorough experience.
Let me know!

I highly recommend https://dynamicdogsnc.com/ and the trainer Patrice. I tried Sit Means Sit first and the shock collar just wasn't it for my dog. Patrice is all positive reinforcement, and my dog adores her and really took to her training. We did in home training for several weeks. I really also recommend learning yourself. I took the lessons from her and are beginning to apply them to my new dog (but I'll also do one of her group classes).
Dog trainer recommendation- please help. My chocolate lab needs help, Bobby is 2.5 years old, we did the Petco classes for a few months of Sunday’s. Looking for the next level of training, maybe a week or two boarding class?
Anyone have any experience with Sit means Sit? Any other companies?

Okay, we're rethinking this. Can anyone recommend a person who dog sits in their home for a fee? I know there are places like this locally in Apex and Cary, I just can't remember the name. Anybody??
