  I came home from work tonight and my dog's eye was all red. Just one eye. Any ideas? She was inside for the 5 hours I was gone and was fine before I left. I was going to check it in the morning, and possibly take to the vet tomorrow morning. I just want to know if it's something so serious I need to find a vet tonight. I live in 29 Palms, the nearest Emergency vet I believe is close to an hour and a half away.

  Could be a scratch or an insect bite. Make sure your dog does not swipe the eye any more tonite to make it worse. The closest emergency vet is in Palm Springs about 49 miles away. Extraordinary Veterinary Services 760-202-8710. Our best to you and your dog.
