  Looking for recommendations on a veterinarian in the Ardmore area. My 84 yr old dad has adopted a two year old dog from a Salisbury rescue shelter and wants to find a good, affordable vet. Obviously, he's on a fixed income and doesn't have much disposable income to play with each month. But since my mom died on the 1st of the month, this is his outlet and let him have it. So, local as in around the Knollwood Manor section of Ardmore and not a budget buster.....any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

  "Tom Dixon, DVM; graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971, he received the Large Animal Award as a student there. He worked with his father at Dixon Animal Hospital from 1971 until 1989 when his father passed away. Then he expanded Dixon Animal Hospital to include the Salem Equine Clinic. He is a member of: AVMA, AAEP, NCVMA, Large Animal Academy, Society of Theriogenology. Served on the NCVMA Board of Directors, and was President of the Large Animal Academy.
