Does anyone have a favorite Yoga studio in Portland? I'm currently looking for a place to complete my Hatha Flow RYT.

Unfortunately I don't know any amazing Hatha Flow trainings, but if you're interested in Vinyasa w/ Anusara type teachings & alignment then I would recommend Yoga Union. It's an amazing teacher training where you tie in heart virtues and themes into th e alignment of the poses. Philosophy, breathing techniques, and assists are also taught. Try taking one of Annie Adamson's alignment classes and see if it resonates with you. They've created a beautiful community of yogi's. Check it out at: http://yogaunioncwc.com/teacher-training/...

There's a lot of variety to yoga in Portland. 'Hatha flow' is a pretty broad description. I'd suggest taking advantage of trial offers for a while, honestly. I'd give specific suggestions but I've only practiced anything but AcroYoga in four or five studios. That said, all the studios I've practiced AcroYoga in seemed pretty awesome. AND I like the studio I currently practice in quite a bit. So, in alphabetical order, the studios I would try a half dozen non-Acro classes in if I were looking for a new studio: Mandala Yoga, Yoga Bhoga, Yoga Union, and Yoyoyogi. Those are just the studios I know and wanted to try out for more classes; (or have already taken hundreds at and would recommend) the studios I have heard good things about and would add to that list are the Bhaktishop and Yoga on Yamhill. And finally, if you were to be looking for a more power-yoga style practice I would suggest either YogaPearl or CorePower, although I haven't practiced at YogaPearl for a while so it's primarily hearsay. It's a hard question, because you're spoiled for choices, obviously.

I hear good things about Bhaktishop, Yoga Bhoga and Yoga Union teacher training programs. But I think Dylan is right in that you should just wonder around to some studios and maybe do their new student specials to get to know their style and the people who lead the trainings.
