  Then you need to see an opthamologist I'm afraid. Here, only the opthamologist can test eyes and give you a script to get glasses - the optometrist won't do anything without it. The waiting list to see an opthamologist is about two months usually. There is a serious shortage of opthamologists unfortunately. There are two opthamologists listed on the Aussie embassy website - (see the link pinned to the page here) - try them perhaps.
