Hi everyone, new to the area and looking for moderate rides from 20-30 miles. Does anyone know of any close to Sylva or a good book on road cycling in WNC to check out?--Thanks

We'll be in Cullowhee next week to do some road riding. Would love some local company and suggestions for 50-100 mile rides.

I would love to join you guys, some good suggestions would be: Ring of Fire- everyone's first killer ride in the Cullowhee area.. nearly 40 miles, around 5,000 ft. of elevation gain, 2 big climbs and 1 minor and 2 great descents... beautiful ride Ring of Hades- 72 miler, however only the first 35 or so is uphill, the rest is a descent/flat-ish... goes to the highest point of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is closesd, but bikes can still go on it Cullowhee-Waynesville Loop Cherokee-Waterrock Loop etc. See this page for lists/maps of the best routes: http://www.motionmakers.com/about/sylva-area-road-ride-maps-pg81.htm
My husband and I are staying in Cullowhee for a few days and want to do so road riding. It would be great to ride with someone who knows the area. We're thinking about a 50-75 miler tomorrow. Any takers?
