They still like to go to bars but nothing too crazy. Being from the midwest I think they're going to feel like most places are a little out of their comfort zone.   D's in Regent Square (http://www.ds6 pax.com/) has a great beer selection, decent bar food, and a friendly atmosphere. You'll regularly see families with kids there, but it still feels like a bar.
